What’s Alive in You Today?
This is a question I asked a client on a recent call. It sparked interest in her, so I want to share it with you.
With this question, I'm asking you to identify what's truly on your mind.
Not your grocery list, not your life tolerations, not that project meeting you have later.
What's the thing/person/idea you want to give time to but haven't?
What's the topic that's just for you and that's not pressing right now?
It's likely no more than a little whisper that comes and goes.
Let this little message from me today give you permission to think about that thing.
There's a strong chance that what's alive in you today isn't on your calendar.
No one will probably ask you to focus on it.
Imagine what giving yourself a little time to think about that thing/person/idea could do!
Go into this thinking exercise without an expectation for a solution.
Simply think.
Let your mind wander a little bit about the topic you've chosen to ponder.
What comes up for you?
Take a few notes of ideas, observations, or more.
Why does acknowledging what's alive in you matter?
Women who make time for this type of processing develop an increased sense of trust in themselves.
They know they can trust themselves to take a little time to process simple and complex issues.
Women who listen to whispers don't develop the habit of ignoring their ideas, emotions, or dreams.
Women who value listening to whispers are opening to hearing directly from God.
And I think you want to be that type of woman.
No doubt you spend a lot of time and energy on your key relationships at work and home.
Giving yourself a little time today with your thoughts could be one of the best things you can do in your relationship with yourself.
Onwards and upwards!
